Renovation and rebuilding of a villa with a conservatory extension on Herterichstraße (Solln), Munich & new construction of a residential dwelling (rear building)

The roof of the three-storey 1930s villa was completely rebuilt. The conservatory was added on the east side of the existing building as its own independently supported structure. The energy efficiency upgrade was achieved using the Proton-WDF thermal insulation building envelope.

The two-storey basement residential home was positioned within the property boundary to allow the preservation of the garden and its trees. The support structure consists of 425mm thick lightweight brickwork construction, load-bearing masonry walls, reinforced concrete pillars and reinforced concrete slabs. The upper floor is slightly cantilevering above the ground floor.
